Per Sup.R. 45(A) and Section 149.43 of The Ohio Revised Code, court records are presumed open and accessible to the public. But there are limits. Sealed or expunged records will not show up. Knox County Court System

Knox County's main trial court is the Court of Common Pleas. It has four divisions: General, Domestic Relations, Probate, and Juvenile. Municipal courts in Knox County handle smaller matters. Under ORC § 1901.01, they deal with misdemeanor criminal cases, traffic violations, and civil claims up to $15,000. Get Knox County Court Docket Copies

Visit the Clerk of Courts at 117 East High Street in Mount Vernon. Ask for copies of the docket sheet or any specific filing. Certified copies carry the court seal. Plain copies are cheaper but have no official status. You can also mail a written request with the case number and party name. Include a return address and check for any fees.

Under ORC § 2953.52, some criminal records can be sealed after the person finishes their sentence. Sealed cases will not appear in any public search.
